Hey friends! I know no one follows my blog currently, but if you do decide to start, this post would be a good place to begin!
My name is Maggie McCotter and I am a self-diagnosed mountain-holic. I am absolutely addicted to hiking, going outside, and just spending time with nature! I have also been told I am very “crunchy” and “granola-y,” so that’s something. I also make it a point in my life to watch a sunrise or a sunset every day, just to really reflect on the beauty God has given us in such a simple thing.
I am a very strong Christian women who believes in equality and love for all. I would consider myself a feminist because the pay gap between men and women is something that should not be tolerated. Women should have the exact same rights as men, no matter the case!!
I attend the University of Mary Washington and absolutely love it here. I’m striving towards majoring in either English or Psychology and then getting my Master’s in Elementary Education because my dream job is being a third grade teacher. I also participate in Younglife at the university and plan on becoming a leader during my time here!
My family is so important to me and I have an amazing relationship with my parents. They have been happily married for 24 years and will probably stay together forever. Their love is how I hope my husband and I will be one day!
I also have a younger brother, Mitchell, and he is one of my best friends. Yeah, we fight sometimes, but I love him with my whole heart no matter what. Honestly since being at college, I think I’ve missed him more than my parents, but don’t tell them that! He is an absolutely goof and is really only concerned with soccer and fishing, but I know he loves me just as much as I love him.
Currently I have a boyfriend, his name is Troy, and he is absolutely amazing. He goes to Liberty University and is just a strong of a Christian as I am. We met at Work Crew, but that’s a story for another blog post. The long distance is hard, but so far we make it work relatively okay through FaceTime and texting through out the day.
That’s sort of all I am and wraps up this blog post because it’s the first one! The picture I have that goes with this is of me and my sweet friend Sierra, whom I also met at Work Crew!
